Spiritual Journey– Victor Ghannam and Friends
The Arab American National Museum is pleased to present Spiritual Journey- Victor Ghannam and Friends, as part of its Global Friday’s concert series, on Friday, March 14.
This is a unique concert conceived by accomplished local musician Victor Ghannam, in conjunction with AANM’s new exhibit, Sacred Scenes: Icons of the Orthodox Church.
Victor Ghannam is a self-taught multi-instrumentalist who has performed throughout North, Central and South America, and also Europe and the Middle East, primarily on the oud and qanoun. A 35-year veteran of the stage, he has toured with many of the leading recording artists of the Arab World and is most recognized for his dazzling improvisations that combine passion, technical brilliance, creative adventure and intensity. For this performance, Ghannam has formed a unique ensemble for an artistic exploration into the sounds and messages of eastern orthodox traditions. A diverse ensemble featuring vocalists, ney, dumbeck, riqq, violin and more, Spiritual Journey is a not-to-be-missed performance.
Music at 7:30 PM
Tickets are $10 / $9 for museum members
